If you are staying in Sultanahmet, Delta Spa Hamam is not on your doorstep: it is in the basement (level -3) of the Delta Hotels by Marriott Istanbul Haliç, in Kağıthane. The hamam comes with a pool, steam room, sauna and massage, all under one roof. Doors open at 12:00 and close at 22:00 every day of the week. Google lists a 4.9 rating from 848 reviews. Session lengths, prices, whether women and men are separated, and whether you must book ahead are not stated, so ask before you go.

Your first time here

The hamam is part of a hotel spa, with a pool, steam room and sauna alongside it, and massage is offered. The list of individual services, their prices and durations is not published. Whether women and men use separate sections is not stated, and neither is a booking requirement, so ask the spa before you set out.

Fitting it into an Old City trip

Kağıthane is not in the Sultanahmet area, and the T1 tram, M1, M2 and Marmaray stops we list do not include it, so ask your hotel how to get there. With opening hours of 12:00 to 22:00, the late afternoon or evening after your museums and mosques is the natural slot. Leave the morning for the Old City sights and treat the spa as a separate half-day plan.

What works well

  • Hamam, pool, steam room, sauna and massage are all in one place, so you can build a longer spa afternoon.
  • Open daily from 12:00 to 22:00, which suits a visit after a day of museums.
  • A 4.9 Google rating from 848 reviews points to consistently positive guest experiences.

Worth knowing first

  • Located in Kağıthane, away from the Old City, so it takes a dedicated trip from Sultanahmet.
  • Prices, session lengths, gender arrangements and booking rules are not published.
  • Steam room
  • Turkish bath
  • Pool
  • Massage
  • Inside a hotel
  • Sauna
