How we rank: the editor score rubric
Every venue is scored with the same 100-point rubric. Scores are never edited by hand; they are recalculated automatically as data changes. Sponsored placement never affects the score and is always labelled.

Areas
Order on an area page: score; ties broken by verification recency, then Google review count. Each site adds a small weight by venue type according to its angle (for example +6 for hamams on a hamam-focused site); the weight is published here and does not change the score itself. Venues from outside the area can enter the list: up to 3 venues within 2 km that score higher than anything inside the area join it, with their distance shown, and may lead the list if their score is high enough. If an area holds fewer than 8 venues, the list is filled with the nearest ones within 3 km. Every out-of-area entry carries a distance label. Out-of-area entries never cross the Golden Horn: historic-peninsula areas only take venues from the peninsula, and areas on the Beyoğlu side only take venues from that side.
