Sunaria Spa & Fitness Holiday Inn
If you are staying in Sultanahmet, this one is a trip out of the Old City: Sunaria Spa & Fitness is the spa of a Holiday Inn on Halaskargazi Avenue in Şişli, close to Bomonti. Google shows 4.8 from 262 reviews, and the listing is open 07:00–00:00 every day, although the venue's own website reportedly gives 10:00–23:00. What the website actually presents is a gym, reformer pilates and kickboxing classes. A hammam or massage is not mentioned there, and whether the venue offers a traditional bath at all could not be confirmed. Prices and bookings are handled by phone, so ask before you plan around it.
First time here: what to expect
Treat this as a hotel spa and fitness club rather than a confirmed hammam. The website shows a gym, reformer pilates and kickboxing; hammam and massage services are not mentioned. Section arrangement, treatments and prices are not specified, so ask by phone. Confirm the opening hours at the same time.
Fitting it into an Old City trip
It is in Şişli, away from Sultanahmet, so it works better as a separate outing than as a stop between sights. From Sultanahmet the T1 tram runs to Sirkeci, Eminönü or Kabataş, or to Aksaray for the M1 metro; the listing gives no direct route to the hotel, so check the last leg on a map. Since the hours are uncertain, an afternoon or evening slot after a day of museums is the likelier fit once you have confirmed them.
What works well
- Reviewers rate it highly: 4.8 on Google
- Located inside a hotel, in the Şişli–Bomonti area
- Long listed opening hours, 07:00–00:00 daily (the website may differ)
Worth knowing first
- No hammam or massage is listed on the website; the service could not be confirmed
- Opening hours conflict (07:00–00:00 vs 10:00–23:00) and sections (women/men/mixed) are not stated
- Inside a hotel
