For someone staying around Sultanahmet, Veyron Hotels & Spa is a trip to the north of the city rather than a stop on the sightseeing loop. It is a hotel at Sağlam Fikir Sokak 1/1 in Esentepe, Şişli, on the Levent side, and its spa is inside the building. Google shows 4.1 from 1,364 reviews. The website could not be read, so the services, whether there is a hamam, pool or sauna, opening hours and prices are all unconfirmed. Whether guests who are not staying at the hotel are admitted is also unknown, which makes a phone call the first thing to do.

First time here: what to expect

This is a hotel spa, and the listing gives no service menu. Whether it has a hamam, pool, sauna or steam room is not specified, so ask. Separate sections for women and men, or mixed use, are also not specified. Ask whether a reservation is required and whether non-guests can book.

Fitting it into an Old City trip

The hotel is in Esentepe, Şişli, near Levent, and none of the listed T1, M1, M2 or Marmaray stops is in this area, so I cannot give a route from the information available. Opening hours are not specified, so a time slot cannot be suggested. If you want a hamam on a day spent around Sultanahmet, a place closer to the Old City will fit the day more easily.

What works well

  • The spa is inside the hotel, so everything is under one roof if you are a guest.
  • Google rating of 4.1 across more than 1,300 reviews gives a reasonable sample size.
  • Located in the Levent–Esentepe business and shopping area, away from the tourist crowds.

Worth knowing first

  • Far from the Old City, so it needs a separate cross-town trip from Sultanahmet.
  • Services, hours, prices and access for non-guests are not confirmed.
  • Inside a hotel
