If you are staying in Sultanahmet, this one needs a plan: it is a hotel spa in Göztepe, Kadıköy, on the Asian side, not a hamam in the Old City. Massage is the only service confirmed, offered under the name Pera Spa Center between 12:00 and 19:00. The hotel's website gives no treatment list or prices, and it does not say whether there is a steam room, sauna or pool. Google shows 4.5 from 1,495 reviews. Call +90 505 251 19 70 before you go, since opening hours are the only detail we have.

First time here: what to expect

The only confirmed service is massage, run as Pera Spa Center inside the hotel. Treatment types, durations, prices, facilities such as a steam room or pool, and separate women's/men's sections are not stated, so ask when you call. Whether you need to book ahead is also not stated; confirm on +90 505 251 19 70.

Fitting it into an Old City trip

The hotel is in Göztepe, Kadıköy, on the Asian side, a separate trip from the Sultanahmet area, where the T1 tram stops at Sultanahmet and Gülhane. Marmaray calls at Sirkeci and Yenikapı, but the route to Göztepe is not given here, so ask the hotel how to get there. Since the spa runs only 12:00–19:00, treat it as a half-day: sights in the morning, then head over in the afternoon and leave time to return before 19:00.

What works well

  • The spa is inside the hotel, so a massage needs no separate trip to another venue.
  • It is open in the afternoon and early evening (12:00–19:00), which suits a morning of sightseeing first.
  • Google rating of 4.5 across nearly 1,500 reviews.

Worth knowing first

  • No treatment list or prices are published; everything has to be asked by phone.
  • Hamam, sauna, steam room, pool and women's/men's section are not mentioned, so do not count on a traditional hamam experience.
  • Massage
  • Inside a hotel
