If you are staying around Sultanahmet, this is a trip across the city rather than a short walk: NEX Spa sits inside NEX Hotel on Dolapdere Caddesi in Şişli, near Nişantaşı and Osmanbey. It offers a Turkish bath (hamam) and massage, and it is open daily from 10:00 to 22:00. Booking ahead is required. Google shows 4.8 from 184 reviews. No treatment list, durations or prices are published, and whether there is a sauna, steam room or pool is not stated. So the first step is to call the hotel and ask what is on offer.

Your first visit here

Reserve before you come, since walk-ins are not an option. The spa is inside a hotel and offers hamam and massage. The treatment menu, how long each lasts and the prices are not published, so ask when you book. Also ask whether there is a sauna, steam room or pool, and whether men and women use separate sections, as none of this is stated.

Fitting it into an Old City trip

This is in Şişli (Nişantaşı/Osmanbey side), well away from the Sultanahmet sights, so give it its own slot rather than squeezing it between two museums. Opening hours run 10:00–22:00, which suits a late afternoon or evening after a day of sightseeing. From Sultanahmet you can ride the T1 tram, which also stops at Gülhane and Sirkeci, and the M2 metro reaches Taksim. The exact route from there to Dolapdere Caddesi is not in our data, so ask the hotel when you book.

What works well

  • Hamam and massage are both offered, so one visit can cover both.
  • Open every day from 10:00 to 22:00, which leaves room for an evening slot after sightseeing.
  • Rated 4.8 on Google across 184 reviews.

Worth knowing first

  • It is not in the old city, so getting here from Sultanahmet takes real travel time.
  • Treatments, durations, prices, facilities and whether men and women are separated are all unpublished.
  • Turkish bath
  • Massage
  • Inside a hotel
