If you are staying in the Old City and want a hamam that is not a tourist-route stop, this one is in a hotel in Taksim, a short metro ride away. It holds a 4.7 Google rating from 1,128 reviews. The hamam is listed together with a sauna, a steam room, a pool, and a range of massages from Swedish to Thai. There is a couples room and three set packages of 65 to 105 minutes. Prices are not published and booking in advance is required, so write to them before you go.

Your first visit here

The hamam is inside the Ramada by Wyndham hotel. The Turkish hamam service is kese (scrub) and foam, and the packages add massage, with sauna, steam and pool use included. The Classic and Couple packages run 65 minutes and the Sultan package 105 minutes. Whether women and men are separated is not stated, and the durations of single services are not given, so ask when you book.

Fitting it into an Old City day

The address is Recep Paşa Cd. in Kocatepe, Beyoğlu, near Taksim. From Sultanahmet, the M2 metro reaches Taksim; you can join it at Vezneciler or Yenikapı, and Marmaray links Sirkeci with Yenikapı. Because it is open until 23:00, an evening slot after the mosques and museums have closed suits it best. A late morning visit also works, as doors open at 10:00.
