If you are staying around Sultanahmet, this is a trip out of the old city, not a stop on the way. Elta massage is a lymphatic massage clinic on Teşvikiye Street in Şişli, close to Nişantaşı and Beşiktaş. Google shows 4.9 from 118 reviews. The clinic is open until 23:00 on most days, so it works as an end-of-day plan after sightseeing. No service list, treatment durations or prices could be confirmed, so ask before you go.

Your first visit here

This is a lymphatic massage clinic, not a traditional hamam, so expect a treatment room rather than a bathhouse. No service list or prices were available. Whether there are separate sections for women and men is not stated, and neither is whether other treatments are offered. Ask about all of this when you book.

Fitting it into an Old City trip

The clinic is in Teşvikiye (Şişli), near Nişantaşı and Beşiktaş, not in the old city. From Sultanahmet, the T1 tram runs toward Kabataş, and M2 stops at Şişhane and Taksim. We have no confirmed connection to Teşvikiye, so ask the clinic how to get there. Since it is open until 23:00 Monday to Saturday, the evening after the museums and mosques is the natural slot. On Sunday it closes at 18:00, so go after lunch at the latest.

What works well

  • Specialised in lymphatic massage, so the focus is clear
  • Open until 23:00 Monday to Saturday, which suits a late slot after a full sightseeing day
  • Rated 4.9 on Google, based on 118 reviews

Worth knowing first

  • No website, so the service list and prices cannot be checked in advance
  • Located in Teşvikiye, well away from the Sultanahmet area, and it closes at 18:00 on Sundays
  • Massage
