If you are staying in Sultanahmet, this hamam is not around the corner: it is in Taksim, on Topçu Street in Beyoğlu, on the other side of the Golden Horn from the Old City. It is open every day from 10:00 to 23:30, and its Google score is 4.9 across 389 reviews. What it offers is not stated in the information we have, so the treatments, durations, prices and any separate sections for women and men are all unconfirmed. Whether you need to book, and whether the building is historic, is also unknown. Ask the venue before you go.

What to expect on a first visit

The venue is listed as a hamam, but its services, sections and facilities are not stated. Whether scrub-and-foam or massage is offered, whether men and women are separated, and whether you must reserve are all unconfirmed, so ask before you go. Prices are also not stated.

Fitting it into an Old City day

Taksim is in Beyoğlu, away from the Sultanahmet area. From the Old City you could take the T1 tram from Sultanahmet to Kabataş, or the M2 metro from Vezneciler to Taksim. Since it is open from 10:00 to 23:30, the evening after the museums and mosques is the natural slot, when you no longer need to be anywhere.

What works well

  • Open every day from 10:00 to 23:30, which gives wide flexibility for planning around sightseeing
  • Google rating of 4.9, based on 389 reviews
  • Located in Taksim, easy to combine with an evening around Beyoğlu

Worth knowing first

  • Services, durations and prices are not stated, so you must ask before visiting
  • Not in the Old City; reaching it from Sultanahmet takes a separate trip
  • Turkish bath
