For a visitor based in Sultanahmet, Royal Touch means crossing the Golden Horn side of town to Beyoğlu, to a hammam-and-spa on Meşrutiyet Street in the Asmalımescit quarter. It holds a 4.9 rating from 491 Google reviews. The facilities listed are a hammam with scrub and foam, massage, a sauna, a steam room and a pool. Price, session length and the separation of women's and men's areas are not stated, so you need to ask. The hours also disagree: Google shows it open 24 hours, while the venue's own website gives 12:00–02:00 daily.

First time here: what to expect

The listed offer is a traditional hammam with scrub and foam, massage, sauna, steam room and pool. Which massage types, how long a session runs and what it costs are not stated, so ask before booking. Whether men and women bathe separately, and whether private or couples' rooms exist, is also not stated; ask this when you contact them.

Fitting it into an Old City trip

The spa is in Beyoğlu (Asmalımescit, Pera and Galata side), not in Sultanahmet. From Sultanahmet you can take the T1 tram to Karaköy, then continue to Beyoğlu; the walk from there has not been verified, so check it on a map. Google lists it as open 24 hours but the website says 12:00–02:00, so an evening after the museums is the likeliest fit under either version. Confirm the hours before heading over.

What works well

  • Hammam, sauna, steam room and pool are listed together, so one visit can cover several kinds of heat and water.
  • A 4.9 Google rating from 491 reviews is a strong signal of guest satisfaction.
  • Google lists it as open 24 hours, which could suit a late return from sightseeing (to be confirmed).

Worth knowing first

  • Prices and session lengths are not published, and the opening hours conflict between Google and the website.
  • Whether there are separate women's and men's sections, private or couples' rooms, or a reservation requirement is not stated.
  • Steam room
  • Turkish bath
