Rise SPA Old City is a day spa in Fatih, on Vidinli Tevfikpaşa Street, in the Şehzadebaşı–Vezneciler–Beyazıt area, so it sits on the university side of the old peninsula rather than right at the Sultanahmet sights. It has a rooftop pool, an indoor pool, a hamam, a sauna, a steam room and a bar. Men and women share the same space, and a request for a female therapist can be passed on when you book, subject to availability. It is open daily from 10:00 to 23:00, and massage sessions start at 12:00. Google shows 4.7 from 218 reviews. The price list runs from a €20 single entry for sauna, steam and pool up to a €165 Deluxe Package.

Your first visit here

Expect a mixed spa with a hamam, sauna, steam room and two pools, plus massage rooms and a bar. The hamam is booked as a scrub-and-foam session of 20 to 60 minutes. Massage options include aromatherapy, classic, Bali, reflexology and Indian head massage, and medical massage is listed too. A pool cap costs €5. Reservations are advised: the site suggests booking one to two days ahead, though same-day space is often available. Package contents, changing-room details and towel policy are not stated, so ask.

Fitting it into an Old City day

The spa is in the Şehzadebaşı–Vezneciler–Beyazıt area. Vezneciler is on the M2 metro, and the Beyazıt–Kapalıçarşı and Laleli-Üniversite stops are on the T1 tram, the same line that serves Sultanahmet and Gülhane. Spend the morning at the mosques and museums, then book a session from midday onward, since massages start at 12:00. The late afternoon or evening also works, as the spa stays open until 23:00.
