Holiday Inn Istanbul - Kadikoy is a hotel on Poyraz Sk. in Hasanpaşa, on the Asian side of the city, so it is not a spot you would stumble on while sightseeing in Sultanahmet. The listing says its spa is part of the hotel, and the place is marked as open 24 hours every day. Google shows 4.4 stars from 2,619 reviews, which says more about the hotel as a whole than about the spa. What the spa offers, whether there is a hammam, and what anything costs could not be confirmed. If you are curious, ask the hotel directly before planning a trip around it.

Your first visit here

This is a hotel spa, not a traditional hammam, as far as the listing shows. Treatments, facilities such as pool, sauna or hammam, separate women's and men's sections, opening hours of the spa itself and whether you must reserve are all not stated, so ask the hotel before you go. Prices are not available either.

Fitting it into an Old City trip

The hotel is in Hasanpaşa, Kadıköy, across the water from the Old City. From Sultanahmet you could take the T1 tram to Sirkeci or Eminönü, or Marmaray from Sirkeci, and continue to the Asian side, but exact connections are not given here, so check the route. Since the hotel is listed as open 24 hours, an evening visit after the museums is possible in principle; confirm the spa's own hours first. Plan on a separate half day rather than squeezing it between sights.

What works well

  • Spa is located inside the hotel, so there is no separate venue to find.
  • Listed as open 24 hours every day, which leaves room to fit it around a busy sightseeing schedule.
  • A 4.4 rating from a large number of reviews suggests the property is generally well regarded.

Worth knowing first

  • Services, durations, prices and any hammam are not confirmed, so you cannot judge the spa in advance.
  • It is on the Asian side, away from Sultanahmet, so it costs travel time on a day of museums and mosques.
  • Inside a hotel
