If you are staying in Sultanahmet, this is a trip across the Golden Horn rather than a walk: the spa is on the Taksim/Beyoğlu side. The listing shows a traditional hamam with sauna and steam, kese-and-foam scrubbing and a massage menu. Reservations are required, so you can't just walk in. Google rates it 4.9 from 62 reviews, though two things in the listing don't agree (the address and the opening hours), so confirm both before you set out.

What to expect on a first visit

Book ahead, since reservations are required. The listing names a traditional hamam, sauna, steam, kese-and-foam scrub and massages. Whether there are separate women's and men's sections, whether it is a historic building or inside a hotel, and whether there is a pool are all not stated, so ask when you book.

Fitting it into an Old City day

From Sultanahmet, take the T1 tram to Sirkeci, then Marmaray to Yenikapı and the M2 metro to Taksim. Because of the trip across, it suits an evening after the museums better than a gap between two sights. Google lists it as open 24 hours, but the website says 11:00–23:00, so confirm your slot when you reserve.

What works well

  • Very high Google rating (4.9), although it rests on only 62 reviews
  • Traditional hamam, sauna and steam room in one place
  • Massage menu that includes aromatherapy, Bali, mud and face massage

Worth knowing first

  • Not in the Old City: you need to cross over to Taksim/Beyoğlu
  • Address and opening hours conflict between sources (Google says 24 hours, the website says 11:00–23:00), and no prices are listed
  • Steam room
  • Turkish bath
  • Scrub and foam
  • Massage
  • Booking required
  • Sauna
