If your days are spent between the Blue Mosque, Topkapı and the Grand Bazaar, this hotel spa is a detour rather than a stop on your route. The property is a Curio Collection by Hilton hotel in Altunizade, Üsküdar, on the Asian shore, and its spa sits inside the hotel. Beyond that, little is confirmed: the site could not be read, so treatments, pool or sauna, hamam, women's and men's sections, hours and prices are all unknown. Google shows 4.9 from 608 reviews, which says the hotel is well liked but not what the spa offers. Treat it as an option to enquire about, not one to plan a day around.

First time here: what to expect

This is a hotel spa, not a traditional hamam, and what it includes is not stated: pool, sauna, steam room, massage and separate women's and men's sections are all unconfirmed. Opening hours and whether you need a reservation are also not stated, so ask. Check first whether the spa accepts guests who are not staying at the hotel.

Fitting it into an Old City trip

The hotel is in Altunizade, Üsküdar, on the Asian side, so reaching it from Sultanahmet means crossing the Bosphorus. The tram T1 (Sultanahmet, Eminönü) and Marmaray (Sirkeci, Yenikapı) are the Old City links, but the onward route to Altunizade is not covered here, so check it before you go. Opening hours are unknown, so confirm a time with the hotel; an evening visit after sightseeing would only suit if the spa is open then.

What works well

  • Spa is located inside the hotel, so no separate trip to another building
  • Very high Google rating (4.9 from 608 reviews) for the hotel overall
  • Part of the Curio Collection by Hilton brand, in a quieter residential district away from the tourist crowds

Worth knowing first

  • Treatments, facilities, hours and prices could not be confirmed
  • Far from the Old City on the Asian side, and it is not confirmed whether non-guests are admitted
  • Inside a hotel
